Hitachi GDR-3120L replacement drive for your XBOX360 (PHAT) system
The XBOX360 DVD Drive is coupled with the XBOX360 motherboard meaning HOT SWAPPING a DVD Drive is not possible with the XBOX360 System. Every XBOX360 has a unique DVDKey which must be transferred across to the new drive. This drive offcourse comes blank and has no DVDKey.
We repeat simply purchasing this drive and placing into your XBOX360 will NOT work. You must extract your DVDKey from your old/broken drive and flash onto the new one in order to make it work.

How Do I Know What DVD Drive I have?
The easiest way to identify is simply ejecting your DVD Drive and comparing your DVD Tray with the following image
BenQ and Lite-On drives are almost identical when doing the comparison of DVD Trays, One way to identify is checking the color of the wires, first remove the faceplate and look through the hole in the front of the DVD drive that is visible when the faceplate has been removed.
